it is strongly recommended that your turntable/tonearm has a suitable balanced wiring structure, too. Ensure that the negative (-ve) of both channels is isolated by the ground to prevent background noise.

As with all balanced connections from the phono cartridge, you always need to make sure that the internal turntable and tonearm wiring is symmetrical (not coaxial) and that at no point the cartridge/tonearm/turntable ground is connected to the signal negative (-ve). Note that Musical Fidelity discourages the use of RCA turntables with the balanced input of the MX-VYNL (mainly because of the assumption that the RCA cables will use their shields connected to the signal ground / -ve which is not the case with the cables we produce for this application). On the other hand, Pro-Ject does use this RCA-Mini XLR configuration for its cables and specific models of phono preamps.


RCA - Mini XLR cables have been very popular for some time and given the numerous requests we had for them we have decided to make them available here.
